DataSynapse enters collaboration agreement with BEA SystemsAdd to February 26, 2007 DataSynapse announces that it has entered into a collaboration agreement with enterprise infrastructure software company BEA Systems Inc. The agreement allows DataSynapse to embed BEA's WebLogic Server into its FabricServer software, which is designed to enable J2EE applications to run in a shared grid environment. Overall, the integration of FabricServer and BEA's WebLogic Server is designed to allow users to maximise the performance of WebLogic-based transactions, which can help them more cost-effectively run and manage their Web services and task-oriented applications in a highly distributed environment. Supporting leading standards and technologies, the joint effort will enable policy-based automation and provisioning and the ability to scale WebLogic applications at runtime. "In partnership with DataSynapse, we are bringing new computing capabilities to BEA WebLogic customers," said Guy Churchward, general manager of the Java Runtime Products Group at BEA Systems. "With FabricServer, BEA WebLogic users can now have the ability to automatically resize their application server clusters at runtime, based on priority and performance objectives," he said. Churchward added "driving immediate value to the enterprise and significant economies of scale, the combined DataSynapse and BEA solution is designed to help accelerate the processing time of customer-facing applications that need it most." "Offering greater control and less complexity, the solution is designed to be easy to deploy and manage, which can help to rapidly improve application performance on demand," said Churchward. "FabricServer enables runtime provisioning for BEA WebLogic applications," said Mark Mszanski, executive v.p. of worldwide field operations for DataSynapse. "DataSynapse is excited to work with leaders like BEA to bring the benefits of policy-based automation and provisioning to the application server market," he added.
