BEA Systems showcases BEA AquaLogic
June 13, 2005 BEA Systems will be offering its clients a first evaluation at BEA AquaLogic, a family of products to help address a category of new enterprise software and service infrastructure. Announced on June 9th, 2005, the company unveiled its Enterprise Liquid Assets vision that aims to help companies free previously isolated or "frozen" IT assets so they become "liquid assets," which combine the power of software applications and the Internet, across both .Net and Java platforms. To fuel the Enterprise Liquid Assets vision for customers, BEA introduced BEA AquaLogic, a Service Infrastructure product family to help businesses rapidly compose, configure and reuse technology assets to meet business needs. Scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. PDT, the global online customer event will feature brief introductions from BEA Systems Chief Executive Officer Alfred Chuang and Chief Technology Officer Mark Carges. It will also offer tracks for different audiences and a questions-and-answers session. The brief product line introduction will be followed by concurrent breakout sessions on the following topics: * Leveraging Enterprise Data Services to Improve Information across the Enterprise, with Michael Carey, Ph.D., architect, BEA Systems, Inc.; * Mitigating Risk and Increasing IT Efficiency by Adopting a Services-Based Approach to Application Security, with Paul Patrick, chief architect, BEA Systems Inc.; * Improving Business/IT Alignment with an Enterprise-class Service Bus, with Sanjay Chikarmane, senior director, BEA Systems, Inc. The online event is designed to give chief information officers, architects, IT administrators/managers and developers an opportunity to learn how to successfully deploy Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to help speed the delivery of new business services; manage services throughout the SOA lifecycle -- regardless of underlying technologies; and contain Web services sprawl with a framework built from the ground up for SOA and leverage a services infrastructure to squeeze out development and maintenance costs.
